O ex-técnico santista foi dispensado do clube após ter uma sequência de quatro derrotas em clássicos e um início ruim no Brasileirão – em quatro jogos sofreu três derrotas. O Santos está classificado para as oitavas de final na Copa Libertadores e terminou a primeira fase como o único brasileiro invicto. Na Copa do Brasil, está nas quartas de final.

The court directive relates to charges of perjury – filing a false affidavit – in a case involving Jagmohan Dalmiya’s expulsion from the Indian board.Dalmiya, a former board president himself, filed a case of perjury against the officials in June 2007 for allegedly producing false documents in court relating to his expulsion in December 2006.The BCCI had filed an affidavit – signed by the six officials – in the Calcutta High Court stating that the rule under which Dalmiya had been expelled from the BCCI had been registered as required with the Registrar of Societies in Chennai. Dalmiya then filed a case against the six officials alleging that the documents submitted in court were false and were produced with intent to mislead the court.

تين هاج في مؤتمر صحفي اليوم، سُئل عن كريستيانو رونالدو، وطبيعة العلاقة معه، ليرد الهولندي: “رونالدو ليس للبيع.. إنه في خطط النادي”.

وأضاف: “إنه ليس معنا الآن لمشاكل شخصية، نحن نخطط مع رونالدو للموسم الجديد، أتطلع للعمل معه، ولا أعرف كيف أجعله سعيدًا؟، لكنه في خططنا ولا نفكر في رحيله نهائيًا.. هذا كل شيء”.

واختتم: “لقد تحدثت مع رونالدو، وما قيل بيني وبينه، ما يمكنني تأكيده أنه كان جيدًا حقًا، ونحن نعتمد عليه بشكل كبير”.

Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have confirmed they are planning a multi-nation franchise-owned Twenty20 tournament based on the IPL, which they hope to launch by 2011. Although the competition is still in the planning stages, the idea is to have city-based teams and schedule it at a time that would allow Indian stars to take part.The concept will involve two separate conferences – an eastern division based in Africa and a western division in Australasia – and the top sides from each will progress to the finals. It will not replace the existing domestic Twenty20 competitions; instead it is most likely to be held in October with each nation free to also retain their state- or provincial-based tournaments.The organisers want the competition to feed teams into the Champions League Twenty20. The southern hemisphere-based tournament, which as yet has no name, is another indication of the growing dominance of Twenty20.The first season of the IPL was massively popular this year in India, where there is also the unsanctioned ICL competition, while England will soon be playing for US$20 million in the Stanford Super Series. Peter Young, Cricket Australia’s spokesman, conceded it will be a challenge to squeeze the new tournament in but the organisers were confident it could be achieved.”It’ll be short, sharp and very focused but the exact number of games is yet to be determined,” Young said. “Strategically we see that there’s a finite amount of Twenty20 cricket that’s likely to be ideal, with a number of major global blocks.”There is still a way to go before the finer details can be finalised, including the number of teams. There is also potential for the African conference to feature sides not based in South Africa and for the Australasian division to have teams from outside Australia and New Zealand. Domestic players are likely to feature heavily but the three boards are keen to ensure international stars, from India or England, for example, take part.”Gathering a large number of the world’s marquee players into a single competition over a compressed time-frame can capture the public imagination and create new audiences for cricket,” Justin Vaughan, New Zealand Cricket’s chief executive, said. “The challenge for the three southern-hemisphere boards is to create the stage for that opportunity to be captured in a way which complements international cricket.”Cricket Australia has been considering a franchise-based Twenty20 system for some time. James Sutherland, the chief executive of Cricket Australia, said it had become clear that to reach a critical mass, a regional approach was needed.”The idea developed out of blue-sky Twenty20 thinking over the past 18 months,” Sutherland said. “Regional-level Twenty20 cricket played at the level immediately below international cricket has shown it can capture the public imagination and create new audiences for cricket.”But as we have seen in India, it needs critical mass to generate major public excitement. The regional concept we have been charged with developing provides that critical mass.”Cricket Australia is also keen to increase the international focus of its state-based Twenty20 tournament. From 2009-10 it will encourage the six state teams to recruit star players from overseas.Cricket South Africa has shown a strong interest in the concept. “Cricket South Africa is keen to forge strong partnerships with boards around the world to ensure the continued growth of the game at various levels,” said its chief executive, Gerald Majola. “While details of this new competition still need to be finalized, we are confident it will give cricket in South Africa a major boost, and will ultimately change the cricket landscape in our country.”

A campanha do Inter inclui ainda uma vitória e um empate, este em casa com o ABC. O gol foi marcado por Fernando Gabriel.

Com o resultado, o Colorado está estagnado nos quatro pontos e caiu para a nona posição. Já o Papão chegou aos sete pontos e roubou a liderança do CRB. A rodada ainda tem Juventude x Paraná no Alfredo Jaconi. No próximo sábado, às 19h, tem clássico gaúcho no Beira-Rio: Internacional x Juventude.

Início sonolento

Sem o goleiro Danilo Fernandes, que voltou a sentir dores no pé minutos antes do apito inicial, sem D’Alessandro poupado e com Danilo Silva improvisado na direita, o Internacional começou sonolento e disperso. Mas os gaúchos estavam com sorte pois os paraenses também estavam longe de empolgar a torcida.

O Inter só chegou bem, aos cinco, com Nico López, mas foi só isso na primeira etapa. Já o Paysandu, gradativamente, começou a dominar o jogo, mas permanecia longe de fazer uma blitz na defesa colorada. Nem mesmo com as as boas finalizações de Fernando Gabriel, de falta e Welinton Junior, cabeceando na pequena área, o Papão esteve perto de honrar o seu apelido.

Inter com quatro atacantes e partida aberta

Na volta do intervalo, Zago ousou, sacou Edenílson e colocou Marcelo Cirino. Naquele momento, o Inter tinha quatro atacantes em campo, mas com Roberson fazendo o papel de meia. A criação melhorou e o Inter acordou, mas o time de Marcelo Chamusca também voltou mais antenado.

Diante deste cenário aberto, o Inter quase tirou o zero do placar com chute cruzado de Cirino, aos dois. O Paysandu respondeu com Ayrton, de falta. Na sequência, o Internacional fez um lindo gol com Nico López, mas ele foi anulado. O Papão voltou a responder na mesma moeda. Desta vez, com mais eficiência, com gol de Fernando Gabriel, que arrancou e invadiu a área após Marcão fazer o papel de pivô.

A partida permaneceu equilibrada, com direito a bola na trave de Brenner e um quase gol de cobertura de Welinton Júnior. Ele só não marcou pois Daniel fez uma linda defesa. Melhor para o Paysandu, que permanece invicto, sem sofrer gols e na liderança.

أشاد عبد الحميد بسيوني المدير الفني لنادي سموحة بأداء لاعبي فريقه أمام الأهلي، موضحًا أنه استغل الضغط الهجومي الذي نفذه المنافس لتحقيق الفوز عليه في المباراة التي جمعت بينهما ببطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

وفاز الأهلي على سموحة بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدفين في المباراة التي أقيمت ضمن لقاءات الجولة الثالثة والعشرين من الدوري.

وقال بيسوني خلال مقابلة على “أون تايم سبورتس” بعد المباراة: “مبروك لرجال سموحة، اللاعبون قدموا مباراة كبيرة أمام الأهلي العظيم والكبير، وتقدمنا بثلاثة أهداف ولو حالفنا التوفيق لأحرزنا أهدافا اكثر من ذلك في مرمى المنافس”.

وأضاف: “طوال الأسبوع تدربنا على الهجمات المرتدة لأن الأهلي كان هدفه المكسب، وكان هناك مهاجمين كثيرين من الأهلي عند منطقة جزاء سموحة وهذا ساعدنا في الهجمة المرتدة”.

يواصل برشلونة الإسباني محاولاته لإقناع بايرن ميونخ ببيع مهاجمه البولندي روبرت ليفاندوفسكي، بما يتناسب مع الوضع المالي للنادي الكتالوني. 

سيكون برشلونة جاهزًا في يوليو لبدء إدارة التعاقدات اللازمة للمشروع الرياضي الجديد، بمجرد تطبيق الرافعات المالية سيكون للنادي القوة المالية لتقديم العروض والأولوية القصوى هي التوقيع مع روبرت ليفاندوفسكي.

Speaking to Football Insider, Sky Sports pundit Kevin Campbell has made a claim after hearing Tanguy Ndombele has told Tottenham Hotspur chiefs he wants leave.

The Lowdown: Ndombele out the door?

Daily Star reporter Paul Brown first reported that Ndombele’s future is up in the air with the player now considering his options this summer.

Following this development, Football Insider went one step further and claimed that the Frenchman has now told club chiefs that he wants to leave Spurs before August 31.

Indeed, it appears another Lilywhites star is now seeking the exit door amid all the unrest surrounding Harry Kane.

Reacting to this FI claim on Ndombele, Campbell has now made his feelings known to the same outlet.

Speaking to Football Insider in reaction to this update that Ndombele is now looking to leave north London, Campbell believes that the exit could ‘100%’ happen and the ‘writing is on the wall’.

“It could happen, 100%,” the pundit explained.

“He’ll ask to leave if he doesn’t play. A move will probably do him good. It’s never good when you aren’t even making the squad.”

The Verdict: Blow for Nuno?

Lauded as an ‘incredible’ player by former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho and ‘unplayable’ on his day by Joe Hart, losing Tottenham’s club record signing would come as somewhat of a blow.

On his day, the 24-year-old can really turn it on and his ability is there for all to see.

According to WhoScored, no Spurs player completed more successful dribbles per 90 last season than Ndombele (2.2) and he can often prove difficult to dispossess.

That being said, question marks remain surrounding his application and it may be best for both parties to entertain considerable offers before deadline day.

Sunderland have kicked off their season in style with back-to-back wins in the 2021/22 campaign, beating both Wigan and Port Vale.

The Black Cats beat the Latics 2-1 on the opening day of the League One season, before progressing through to the second round of the Carabao Cup by defeating Port Vale by the same score.

They now travel away to face an MK Dons side who recently lost their manager Russell Martin to Swansea and have conceded eight goals in their first two matches – five to Bournemouth in a 5-0 Carabao Cup loss and three to Bolton in a draw in their first league outing.

Despite Sunderland’s strong start to the season, Lee Johnson has a major issue within his side. Young central midfielder Dan Neil has been deployed as a left-back and struggled against Wigan last weekend whilst playing out of position.

Neil received a tame WhoScored rating of 6.40 as he failed to win a single tackle and only made one clearance in the 90 minutes. He also completed 62% of his passes – the third-lowest in the team – and did not create any chances going forward from the back.

This suggests that the experiment of playing him at full-back has not been successful for Johnson, which means that a natural defender should take his place in the team against MK Dons. Prior to this week, Sunderland did not have a natural full-back option to slot in, but they have since announced the signing of Dennis Cirkin on a permanent deal from Premier League side Tottenham.

Johnson hailed the 19-year-old as a top talent upon his arrival at the club. He told Sunderland’s official website: “To get a player of Dennis’ quality at 19 speaks wonders in terms of what we’re trying to do because he is a top talent and he’s very highly regarded within the game.

“We have been really happy with the signings we have made so far and we will bank this one, but we will continue our work quietly and efficiently to try and get a couple more over the line.”

This shows that Johnson rates the defender highly and that is why he should be thrown straight in at the deep end against MK Dons. Whilst there is not much evidence to prove that he will be a quality option immediately, as he has not made his debut in senior football as of yet, it is worth the gamble as Neil has shown that he is not up to the task of playing out of position.

Therefore, Johnson may not have any other choice but to risk it and hand Cirkin his debut on Saturday. Hopefully, the exciting young full-back will be able to repay the faith shown in him by the club and demonstrate why he is so highly-rated, as it would give the former Bristol City coach a specialist left-back option instead of having to put square pegs in round holes.
