O técnico Zé Ricardo deve poupar os titulares do Flamengo para o jogo deste sábado, contra o Resende, no Estádio Raulino de Oliveira, em Volta Redonda, pela segunda rodada da Taça Rio. O elenco rubro-negro se reapresentou na tarde desta sexta-feira, no Ninho do Urubu, em Vargem Grande. Contudo, o volante Rômulo deve ir a campo contra o Resende. Ele foi visto entrando no ônibus que seguiu para Volta Redonda na noite desta sexta-feira.

Expulso contra a Universidad Católica, Berrío deve ganhar nova oportunidade neste sábado. Um provável Flamengo deve ir a campo com Thiago, Rodinei, Donatti, Juan e Renê; Rômulo, Cuéllar e Mancuello; Berrío, Vizeu (Matheus Savio) e Leandro Damião.

O meia Gabriel sentiu um desconforto muscular na coxa direita após a partida contra a Universidad Católica e está fora do jogo contra o Resende. Ele ficará fazendo tratamento para se recuperar o quanto antes.

Por outro lado, Mancuello está novamente à disposição de Zé Ricardo. Ele foi poupado do jogo válido pela Libertadores por precaução após cair desacordado no gramado do Maracanã na goleada de 4 a 0 sobre o San Lorenzo.

تحدث جيسوالدو فيريرا المدير الفني لفريق الكرة الأول بنادي الزمالك، عن مواجهة إنبي التي أقيمت مساء اليوم في خضم منافسات الجولة الثامنة عشر من عمر الدوري المصري الممتاز.

ونجح إنبي في تحقيق الفوز على مضيفه الزمالك بثنائية، في اللقاء الذي لٌعب بين أروقة استاد القاهرة الدولي.

وقال فيريرا في تصريحات بالمؤتمر الصحفي عقب اللقاء: “مباراة جيدة من إنبي، فريق جيد لعب بشراسة وقوة وتمركز جيدًا”.

وأضاف: “الزمالك لم يقدم صورة جيدة، ولكن إنبي اقتنص فوز مستحق، وأقدم له التهنئة على الانتصار”.

وأردف: “عندما يكون اليوم ليس جيدًا للفريق، فمن الصعب أن نقيم الأداء بشكل فردي، هؤلاء اللاعبون مستمرون معنا وسنكمل بهم المشوار”.

واستكمل: “أتمنى أن يخرج اللاعبين من مباراة اليوم بدرس التواضع، وأننا لن نفوز بالطريقة التي قدموها اليوم، كما أشدت بهم من قبل، يجب أن أخبرهم اليوم أننا يجب أن نلعب بشكل جماعي أفضل من ذلك”.

واستطرد: “مباراة ليست للنسيان، ويجب أن نبقى وحدة واحدة ونفكر بنفس الطريقة، والغيابات ليست سببًا للأداء والنتيجة”.

وواصل مدرب الزمالك: “كل الفرق التي تواجهنا تقدم 3 أضعاف مجهودها، ولذلك علينا تقديم 4 أضعاف المجهود في كل مباراة”.

واختتم: “صنعنا كل شيء، نصل للمرمى ولكننا فشلنا في التسجيل، وإنبي كان أفضل هجوميًا ودفاعيًا ولم نملك القدرات الذهنية لتسجيل الأهداف، أوقات كثيرة الأمور لا تتعلق بالأقدام”.

After missing out on Bright Osayi-Samuel in January, Rangers have been linked with the Fenerbahce man again in recent weeks, but Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson should steer well clear of him after the Turkish side named their asking price for the winger.

What’s the word?

Rangers were heavily linked with a move for the winger during his time at QPR, and would have been able to sign him on a free transfer this summer due to his contract with the Championship side being set to expire.

However, Fenerbahce opted to pay a fee in order to sign him early, although it seems as if they regret that decision, as they are reportedly willing to cash in on him after only a few months with the club, where he has managed just one goal and one assist in 19 appearances.

Rangers were understandably credited with an interest in the 23-year-old but a recent report has claimed that the Ibrox outfit will have to pay as much as £4.3m if they want to sign him this summer.

Wilson should avoid a return for Osayi-Samuel

Given Osayi-Samuel’s poor form in Turkey, there seems little to suggest that he would be worth the price tag for Rangers this summer, especially as they already possess talents such as Ryan Kent, Ianis Hagi, Scott Wright and Fashion Sakala out wide.

His form at QPR was also indifferent, as he managed just 13 goals and 13 assists in 115 appearances for the Loftus Road outfit, which suggests that he doesn’t possess as much natural goal threat as the likes of Kent and Hagi.

Although he was capable of being unplayable on his day, with QPR manager Mark Warburton dubbing him “outstanding” after his performance in a win against Cardiff, it seems those performances came few and far between and thet have certainly dried up during his time in Turkey.

Therefore, unless we see Kent leave Rangers for big money this summer, the Gers would be better off avoiding a deal for Osayi-Samuel, as signing him for as much as £4.3m could prove to be a huge mistake when Gerrard arguably has better options already at the club.

O que causa resistência de parte da torcida é a irregularidade defensiva do camisa 2. Steve Howey has exclusively told Football FanCast that Aiden McGeady can be the difference-maker for Sunderland next season.

The 35-year-old was left out in the cold by former manager Phil Parkinson during the first half of the 2020-2021 season.

However, following the appointment of Lee Johnson just before Christmas, McGeady immediately came back into the side and produced some outstanding numbers to help the Black Cats reach the top-six.

In just 35 appearances in all competitions, McGeady scored six times and added an impressive 17 assists.

Despite turning 36 in April, McGeady was rewarded with a 12-month contract last month to extend his stay at the Stadium of Light into a fifth campaign.

Three of the previous four have been at League One level as Sunderland look to end their painful stay in the third-tier and get back into the Championship.

Following McGeady’s contract extension, ex-Newcastle midfielder Howey was asked whether the experienced attacker can lead Sunderland to League One glory next season.

He told FFC:

“At that level, he stands out. But what Sunderland must do is not draw as many games.

“I think it was 16 or 17 games last season. If you lose half of them and win half of them, you go up as champions, easily.”

England were outplayed by an outstanding Indian performance, but there is no need for panic. Nasser Hussain’s men have been improving since Duncan Fletcher donned his first England tracksuit, and they have continued to do so this summer.The problem at Headingley was with the bowling. It is not for Hussain to make excuses, but there are some. With Andy Caddick and Alex Tudor making returns from injury, and Andrew Flintoff banging the ball in with a double hernia, it is perhaps not surprising that the Indians prospered. England’s bowling was below par, and they were trumped by the most superbly dogged batting.With Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly’s Saturday pyrotechnics, the efforts of Rahul Dravid and Sanjay Bangar could be easily forgotten. The second-wicket partnership was not flashy nor even, if truth be told, particularly entertaining, but it was vital. Dravid was typically proficient, whilst Bangar showed a determined eagerness which India’s opening batsmen have recently lacked.With the bat, England failed to surpass mediocrity. Hussain and Alec Stewartwere superb, while the rest of the top order all made starts only to be snuffed out by solid bowling on a suspect track. Flintoff had a game that even his worst enemy might not have wished him, but remains as vital a piece in the England jigsaw as any.England must now hope that Marcus Trescothick regains full fitness. Presuming Trescothick comes back, other additions to the squad might include pacemen Simon Jones or Steve Harmison. Hussain suggested that Flintoff will not play at The AMP Oval, leaving Surrey’s young all-rounder Rikki Clarke in pole position to make his debut. Clarke has returned from injury, and looks an ideal replacement.A defeat, however comprehensive, does not rule England out of the Ashes. Where England are a good team, Australia are a great one, and are huge favourites. This is not to say England won’t compete. They will, and they will threaten. The progress of Flintoff, Trescothick, Vaughan and Matthew Hoggard has been remarkable.But England do not yet have the luxury to dream of Australia. They must first focus on South London, and turn in a performance which ensures they do not lose a series which they looked like dominating. One beating doesn’t spoil a summer, but two might.
