I quite enjoyed being out there, and the battles you get and all the rest of it are part of the game and something I’m sure will continue throughout the series. If we perform well that’s the best way of counteracting it.”Root said he looked back fondly on his Adelaide experiences of 2010-11, which included time alongside a fellow recruit to the club from beyond the South Australian border – a young finger spinner by the name of Nathan Lyon. By the end of the summer Lyon had graduated to play for SA and was soon bowling for the Test team, while Root went on to earn his county cap for Yorkshire in 2012 and made his England debut later that year in India.”I played with Nathan, that was the season he started there as well. I got to know him quite well and it’s quite interesting being on the opposite side now,” Root said. “I had five months here and really enjoyed my time and worked really hard on my game; the season after I made my first-class debut. Playing with other lads in a similar position to me trying to make their way in first-class cricket was beneficial for me coming through and trying to better myself.”As I’ve only been playing for a year and as quite a young lad you’ve got to find your feet in the international arena, there’ve been different obstacles to overcome and I just want to keep trying to improve, keep bettering myself as a player and that’s all I can really do. If I want to survive in this environment I have to find a way to do it, so it’s about scoring as many runs as I can and finding ways to do it.”Root’s desire to improve will be matched this week by England, as they strain to regather their former poise after losing much psychological and physical ground at the Gabba. It is a scenario they have become familiar with on overseas tours, and like Root in Adelaide, the benefits of that past experience will be better known from Thursday.”It’s always nice to know you’ve done it before, and this England team has showed it over the last three years,” Root said. “It is something we certainly want to do this Test match.”

وكان الايفوارى كونيه خصع لعلمية جراحية عقب الإصابة بالرباط الصليبى في مواجهة طلائع الجيش الموسم الماضى ويعمل حاليًا على التأهيل استعدادًا للموسم المقبل.

Virender Sehwag showed glimpses of his shot-making prowess for an hour and 49 minutes as Delhi’s batsmen took apart a below-par Vidarbha attack. On the same Roshanara track where Vidarbha were shot out for 88 on the first day, Sehwag hit his first half-century of the season.While Sehwag will take most of the headlines, the biggest contributor for Delhi was the experienced Mithun Manhas, who scored his 25th first-class century to stretch the lead to 360 by stumps on the second day.It is unlikely that captain Gautam Gambhir will extend Delhi’s innings further as he would want his bowlers to use the freshness of the Roshanara track on Monday morning to take seven points, which will be crucial to his team’s progress.If Manhas and Sehwag consolidated Delhi’s position in the match, wicketkeeper batsman Rahul Yadav (81) and Ashish Nehra (57) – fresh from his six-wicket haul on Saturday – clobbered the Vidarbha bowlers into submission, adding 122 for the eighth wicket. He didn’t even complete the full follow-through of a forward defensive push off Jungade as the ball raced past mid-on for four to bring up the half-century off 62 deliveries.Sehwag then lofted Jungade for a straight boundary, but was caught by Vidarbha captain Shalabh Srivastava running back from mid-off when trying the same shot again off the part-time seamer Faiz Fazal.During Sehwag’s rampage, the calming presence of Manhas also guided Delhi as it has so often over the past decade-and-a-half. Manhas played the square cut with authority. He clipped anything on the legs through midwicket, and he drove the half-volleys through cover to bring up his third century of the season. It leaves Delhi in a overwhelmingly dominant position at Roshnara, as they push towards a crowded top third of the Group A table.

وقال أيمن أشرف خلال تصريحات تلفزيونية لقناة “أون تايم سبورتس”: “تقدير وحب الناس كان مصدر قوتي في الأوقات الصعبة في العام الحالي، الجماهير الأهلاوية كانت تطلب مني الصبر، حب الناس نعمة كبيرة خاصة في الأهلي”.

وعن عناق الخطيب له عند الاحتفال بالدوري المصري: “لم أشارك لمدة عام تقريبًا، لكن قبل ذلك صنعت التاريخ في الأهلي، لعبت 5 سنوات بصفة أساسية وكنت من قادة الفريق”.

وأضاف: “كنت أشعر أن الخطيب حزين على رحيلي، لقد تحدث معي قبل 24 ساعة من الاحتفالية وطلب تواجدي، كنت لا أنوي الذهاب لحضور اللقاء، لكنه طلب مني التواجد، شعرت بالكثير من التقدير من قبل الخطيب، كنت أشعر بالحزن قبل مكالمته الهاتفية لكن الوضع تغير، لقد أهداني درع الأهلي بعد مواجهة حرس الحدود”.

وواصل: “عشت في النادي الأهلي أكثر من بيتي، قضيت 21 عامًا في القلعة الحمراء، ألعب في النادي منذ أن كنت في السابعة من عمري، كنت أريد أن أختم مسيرتي في أعظم نادي في إفريقيا، الجماهير لم تتوقع أن أصافح كولر ولكني تعاملت مع الأمر باحترافية، لقد تمنى لي التوفيق، كنت غاضبًا لأنني لم أحصل على فرصة كاملة، ولكن هذه وجهة النظر الفنية ولابد من احترامها”.

وزاد: “لم أخضع لفترة إعداد مع الفريق بعد العودة من منتخب مصر، وبعد ذلك لعبت شوطًا واحدًا في مباراة ودية مع كولر، وبعد مباراة الاتحاد المنستيري في تونس جلس معي كولر وقال لي لم أشاهدك بشكل جيد واحترمت وجهة نظره وقلت له أهم شيء أن الفريق يلعب بشكل جيد”.

وأردف: “جلست لفترة طويلة على مقاعد البدلاء، طلبت من النادي الأهلي أثناء فترة التوقف الاطمئنان على قدمي في ألمانيا، كنت أشعر أن كولر يريد متابعتي في هذه الفترة، هو لم يرد سفري إلى ألمانيا ولكن لم يقولها لي بشكل مباشر، سافرت وعدت وظللت في الملعب أتدرب فقط، واجتمعت به أكثر من مرة”.

وأشار: “في مباراة الزمالك المدافعين كانوا مصابين عدا رامي ربيعة، وكنت أجهز نفسي للمشاركة ولكن كولر أشرك خالد عبد الفتاح، ورغم ذلك لم أثر أي أزمة لأنني من كباتن النادي، وتأكدت أنني لن أشارك مع كولر بعد مباراتي الزمالك والبنك الأهلي، لقد رفض الأهلي رحيلي في يناير وأخبروني أن الفرصة سوف تأتي”.

وتابع: “كولر حقق تاريخًا كبيرًا في النادي الأهلي، لم أحصل معه على فرصة حقيقية لكي أقول له أنا متواجد، لو عاد بي الزمن كنت سأسافر إلى ألمانيا لأنني كنت أطمئن على نفسي، خلال سنة لم أفتعل أي مشكلة مع كولر من أجل مصلحة الفريق وكنت أجلس معه بكل احترام، لم أتوقع النهاية تكون بهذا الشكل”.

وأكمل: ” كنت لا أريد الرحيل عن النادي الأهلي ولكن كان يجب أن أرحل، الأهلي أكبر نادي في إفريقيا وشرف لأي لاعب أن يختم حياته به”.

وعن حقيقة الخلاف مع طبيب الأهلي السابق أحمد أبو عبلة: “لا يوجد خلاف بيني وبينه، قال لي لا يوجد داعي للسفر إلى ألمانيا، ولكني كنت أصر على السفر، والأطباء هناك قالوا لي نفس كلام أبو عبلة، بأنني أحتاج لفترة تأهيل فقط من أسبوعين إلى ثلاثة أسابيع، وأبلغوني أنني لا أحتاج عملية جراحية”.

وحول تألق كهربا مع الأهلي: “كنت متوقع تألقه بهذا الشكل، لأن خلال فترة الإيقاف كان ملتزمًا جدًا وأخذ وقت قليل لكي يدخل نظام الأهلي، والقلعة الحمراء تجبر أي لاعب على الالتزام والانضباط”.

وتابع عن كواليس مقولة محمد الشناوي -اضغط يا أيمن-: “هو قريب مني وعشنا مع بعض لفترة كبيرة في الناشئين، وكنت أقرب لاعب له في خط الدفاع، وصوته كان واضحًا بسبب عدم تواجد الجماهير في المدرجات”.

واختتم عن انتقاله للبنك الأهلي: “لم أجلس مع أي ناد آخر سوى البنك الأهلي، واجتمعت مع أشرف نصار وأنهينا كل شيء في نصف ساعة، هو لديه طموح في الموسم المقبل، يريد أن يحقق شيئًا جيدًا وينافس في المربع الذهبي، وتعاقدوا مع صفقات جيدة، رئيس البنك الأهلي قدرني بشكل جيد أثناء التفاوض، وسأثبت له في الموسم المقبل أنني أستحق تلك الثقة”.

As England’s season starts with limited-overs cricket against Sri Lanka, it is hard to fault his logic. During negotiations about England’s new central contracts, it was agreed in principle that the ECB would be supportive where possible of England players’ ambitions to play IPL, which legitimises the ambitions of Bell and others to play in the tournament.That has not stopped England from having meaningful discussions with their best younger players about where their responsibilities should lie. That has resulted in the absence of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler from the IPL hopefuls.Both players would have been good IPL acquisitions but Stokes is at the start of what promises to be a successful and gruelling England career in all three formats and Buttler, whose T20 talents are already known, has ambitions to prove himself in the longer format of the game with strong Championship form with Lancashire.Stuart Broad, England’s T20 captain is another absentee, while Graeme Swann’s brief mental dalliance with a season in IPL during his retirement media conference has not translated into action; his retirement now seems confirmed for good, with a media career lying in wait.Arguably the two most aggrieved players in England’s list could turn out to be Samit Patel and Alex Hales. The Nottinghamshire pair were released by their county as long as they earned a minimum of $400,000 – an attempt to measure their argument that they could not financially afford to ignore the tournament.That figure has turned out to be high and has been cut to the auction ceiling of $320,000, but that still leaves Patel, in particular, seeming overpriced.
