كشف الإعلامي أحمد شوبير، أن المدير الفني للأهلي، الإسباني خوسيه ريبيرو، بدأ يهيئ أحد اللاعبين الشباب ليكون البديل المحتمل لأحمد نبيل كوكا، في ظل عدم وضوح مستقبل الأخير مع الفريق.

وقال شوبير في تصريحات عبر برنامجه الإذاعي صباح اليوم الأربعاء: “ريبيرو مقتنع ب لاعبه الشاب الإيفواري كاظم إبراهيما، الذي يجيد اللعب في مركزي وسط الملعب الدفاعي (6) ووسط الملعب المهاجم (8)”.

وأضاف: “الإيفواري الشاب سيكون بديلًا لـ أحمد نبيل كوكا إذا قرر الأخير الرحيل عن الأهلي، خاصة أن موقف كوكا ما زال غامضًا”.

وأوضح شوبير أن كاظم إبراهيما تم ترشيحه من قبل سامر عبد الرحمن، مدرب شباب الأهلي مواليد 2005، في حين قدمه عماد النحاس إلى ريبيرو، مشيرًا إلى أن الجهاز الفني يضع اللاعب في حساباته لمستقبل الفريق.

وأتاح خوسيه ريبيرو الفرصة لكاظم إبراهيما للمشاركة في المباراة الودية أمام إنبي، والتي انتهت بفوز الأهلي 2-0، دون إذاعة اللقاء بناءً على طلب المدرب.

ويُعد كاظم إبراهيما، مواليد 2007، من المواهب الواعدة التي لفتت الأنظار مؤخرًا، ما يعزز فرصته في فرض نفسه ضمن صفوف الفريق الأول خلال الفترة القادمة.

– Todos sabem que o Vasco é o time da virada, só que já fazia mais de um ano que o Vasco não tinha uma vitória como essa. Lembrei daquele jogo contra o Palmeiras na Mercosul, que foi uma vitória fantástica lá em 2000. Realmente, eu fico muito feliz porque esse grupo merece, esse é o comportamento do Vasco, jamais desistir e se entregar de corpo e alma.

A vitória nesta terça foi conquistada aos 49 minutos do segundo tempo, quando Alex Teixeira marcou o segundo dele no jogo e fechou o placar. O empate tinha acontecido 6 minutos antes. Apesar do resultado emocionante, Jorginho foi sincero ao afirmar que o time não conseguiu jogar no primeiro tempo.

– Nós tivemos um primeiro tempo muito ruim, equipe muito espaçada. A gente não estava bem posicionada, principalmente no forte deles que são os contra-ataques. Erramos no gol deles, a gente sabe que não fez um bom primeiro tempo, pouca mobilidade. As mudanças foram fundamentais. Coloquei o Tubarão e o Alex que tiveram a felicidade de fazer os gols. É um grupo que realmente tem dado tudo, mesmo com a derrota no primeiro tempo, foi nítido que depois conseguimos ter uma superioridade em cima do Operário. Sofremos um gol que não poderíamos tomar, mas os jogadores não se importaram com isso, continuaram confiantes e com força. Parabéns aos jogadores pela entrega.

Jorginho ressaltou que a vitória do jeito que foi conquistada fará o torcedor voltar a acreditar no time e pediu muito apoio na partida do próximo sábado, contra o Novorizontino, em São Januário.

– Essa vitória de hoje foi fundamental para o torcedor acreditar que a gente vai conseguir o nosso objetivo. A Série B é muito difícil, é um jogo muito físico, muito pegado, que você não pode ter muito descuido. Eu falo com todo o coração para o torcedor vascaíno, a gente precisa demais de vocês. Nem todo jogador é o Romário, nem todo jogador não está ligando para o que está ouvindo do lado de fora. Mas eu preciso que vocês entendam o quanto vocês são importantes para o Vasco da Gama, então, apoiem porque a gente vai conquistar esse objetivo se estivermos verdadeiramente juntos.

He will also be the advisor on cricketing affairs to the current head of the PCB, Zaka Ashraf.The impending appointment is the first major move the new administration will make in the running of Pakistan cricket. Ashraf was appointed head of the PCB’s new management committee earlier this month, after a brief legal tangle following the end of Najam Sethi’s stint as caretaker chairman in late June.Misbah’s role is expected to be an honorary one, which means he will not be paid a salary. The decision was finalised after he met with Ashraf on Monday.It means a return for Misbah nearly two years after he resigned in September 2021, shortly after Ramiz Raja was appointed PCB chairman. Since then, he has worked as an expert and analyst on various TV channels, commitments that he is likely to continue to pursue.Misbah also served as Pakistan coach and chief selector in September 2019, replacing Mickey Arthur as head coach. The Red Devils have had an extremely disappointing season, with both Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim struggling to get a tune out of the team.

This summer feels like a huge one for United, with Amorim able to bring in players to suit his style of play and get rid of individuals who he doesn’t see a future for moving forward.

One player who has been linked with an exciting summer move to Old Trafford is Lille striker Jonathan David, who is arguably one of the hottest attackers in Europe.

He has scored 14 goals in just 20 Ligue 1 starts this season, also scoring seven times in the Champions League, including away to Liverpool.

At the other end of the pitch, Jarrad Branthwaite is a rumoured target, with the Everton centre-back a young defender with a huge amount of potential.

Additions are needed in that area of the pitch with Lisandro Martinez a long-term injury absentee, while the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof don’t represent long-term solutions.

Man Utd in talks with "world-class" ace over swap deal

According to a new report from CaughtOffside, Manchester United are in talks to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are eyeing a possible swap deal involving Rasmus Hojlund, with the Serie A giants thought to be keen on bringing the €60m-rated (£51m) star to the club.

This could be a sensational piece of business for United, considering Osimhen has been arguably among the best strikers in the world over the past three or four years.

The 26-year-old has been lauded as a “world-class” player by Jose Mourinho, while former Nigeria coach Jose Peseiro has also heaped praise on him, saying: “It is not easy to stop that guy. He created the first goal. He is fantastic for our team.”

With all due respect to Hojlund, Osimhen would simply be an upgrade on him, even though the Denmark striker is a young player who has shown his quality sporadically in a United shirt.

From 1999, when the USWNT wore all white and very little color, to 2023, when the kit was an entire art project gone wrong, there's been twists and turns in the USWNT kit design.

The 2011 home kit for the USWNT is typically the top of most people's lists for least-favorite. The dark V-neck line that is so pronounced you can't look at anything else. The line down the entirety of the jersey is strange and is the only interesting – yet bizarre – thing about this kit. The jersey gives off chef vibes, with a very tailored and not swift and nor comfortable whatsoever.

Despite being linked with a host of other high-profile No 9s in the winter, including the likes of RB Leipzig starlet Benjamin Sesko and Juventus forward Dušan Vlahović, Arsenal didn’t end up pursuing an alternative to Watkins – meaning Arteta is forced to wait until the summer for extra firepower.

Arsenal are still targeting a new striker for the next window, while it is also believed that they could bring in different wide options.

Recent injuries to Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have highlighted that Arteta is short of quality alternatives to the duo, even with the emergence of highly-rated young teenage starlet Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal are believed to be admirers of Atalanta star Ademola Lookman, who can play as a second-striker, at centre-forward and even attacking midfield when required, so the Nigeria international could tick multiple boxes for Arteta.

Lookman is said to be seriously considering an exit from Atalanta in the summer, with Arteta’s side keen and potentially eager to explore this opportunity to bring in a winger boasting 15 goals and seven assists so far in all competitions.

Now, as per CaughtOffside, their interest is materialising into discussions.

It is claimed that Arsenal have already held talks over signing Lookman ahead of the summer window, as have Liverpool, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus all fellow contenders for the 27-year-old’s signature.

However, it is Arsenal and Liverpool who are the most advanced after opening negotiations, with the ex-Fulham ace attracting plenty of attention amid his phenomenal 2024/25 campaign and his heroics in the Europa League last season.

Lookman’s final hat-trick won Gian Piero Gasperini’s side the tournament, while simultaneously ending Bayer Leverkusen’s historic unbeaten run, leaving little wonder the player is being linked with a move to the Premier League.

However, Atalanta also won’t be letting him go on the cheap, and the Serie A side are ready to demand as much as €65m (£54m) to sell.

“He’s [Lookman] a top player,” said Gasperini.

“In terms of character, there are perhaps players who have more continuity and are more solid, but that’s normal.

“Even his role is difficult. He always has to be very fit, but he has become a truly extraordinary player, among the best in Europe and the world. Because he has improved his consistency and in some ways, he has started to be an important Atalanta player.”
